The MIAA Hockey tournament hosts Sectional Finals and Super 8 games at FMC Ice Sports’ arenas. There’s also still time to register for Spring I programming!

Spring I Programming Registration Pro-Rate – Select Rinks

DCR Universal Access Program – Holyoke

On Sunday, March 11, the DCR Universal Access Program will be hosting an Adaptive Skating & Games Session at Fitzpatrick Arena from 1-2:50 p.m.

Activities on the ice include obstacle courses, a tower of blocks for building up and crashing down, races, colorful balls and pucks to shoot around, power chair games, and gently competitive hockey matches.

Ice sleds, skate walkers, helmets, ice grippers, and ice skates are available. Admission and equipment are provided free of cost. Pre-registration is required. To sign up call (413) 545-5759 or email laila.soleimani@state.ma.us.

This is Holyoke’s final UAP Skate of the Season! The DCR will be hosting just two more of these events this season.

The MIAA Tournament continues into Sectional Finals week, with several FMC Facilities hosting some of the biggest games of the year.

New England Future Stars Corner

Tryouts Continue this Week for 7 Teams

Tryouts for the upcoming New England Future Stars season continue this week, as seven franchises will be holding sessions.

It will be the second wave of tryouts for the Raynham Raiders, South Shore Sabercats, North Shore Stingrays, and South Middlesex Coyotes. Each of the four franchises will be holding tryouts for the 10U, 12U, and Boys 14U teams this week.

It will be the first tryouts of the season Essex County Eels, Southeastern Grizzlies, and first-year franchise Canton Crusaders. The Eels will have tryouts for the 10U, 12U, and Boys 14U teams at Endicott College. The only girls-only franchise, Grizzlies, will be holding the first of two tryout sessions for the Girls U14 team.

The first ever tryouts for the Crusaders will be held at Canton Ice House with sessions for the 10U, 12U, Girls U14, and Boys 14U teams.

Mites Cross-Ice Registration

Brand new this season, registration is NOW OPEN for the Mites Cross-Ice program coming summer 2018. The South Shore Sabercats, Boston Brahmas, and brand new Canton Crusaders will all carry Mites Cross-Ice programs this season.

There is a limited amount of only 60 spots per team, so register now while there’s still space. The program is designed to help Mite-level players develop with the help of experienced coaching and top competition. Spots are filling up fast! Hurry now before its too late.
