For participants with little or no formal skating instruction, Step 1 introduces participants to the ice in a fun and comfortable learning environment.

Skaters must be at least 3 years old and potty-trained. A helmet, such as a bike helmet or HECC helmet is required. Rental skates are available on a first-come, first-served basis and included in the class fee.

Product Description

  • Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the program start
  • Be sure to adhere to all prerequisites and equipment
  • Warm, comfortable layers that allow for movement, long
    sleeves & pants, gloves or mittens are recommended; little ones should
    wear waterproof items
  • You are welcome to bring your own skates although
    double blade skates are not permitted 
  • A program’s price represents the total package value of
    classes, inclusions and special events
  • Special Events will occur towards the end of a season
    and may be scheduled on a different day or time than the original class
  • An ISI (Ice Sports Industry) membership is included a
    $15 value 
  • Additional skating opportunities (events, programs,
    discounts, private lessons and more) may be available
