The Winter Programming Session has reached its final week and so has the hockey season for high school and college teams around the region!

Broomball – Friday’s in East Boston

Looking for something fun, different, or new to do on Friday night? Stop by Porrazzo Rink in East Boston for some Broomball!

Admission is just $10 for a night full of games. Remember to bring a helmet. Broomball takes place every Friday night starting at 9:30. Hurry now as Broomball only runs until March 30!

Daytime Public Skating Hours for School Vacation at ALL RINKS

It’s school vacation week! And what better way to celebrate than by going to public skating an ANY of our 24 rinks. Public skating hours will be held every day. Check our website for specific times for the rink nearest you.

College Hockey at FMC Rinks

It’s the last week of the season for many NCAA D-II and D-III programs as the push for the postseason reaches its final stage.

Fitchburg State will host Senior Night at Wallace Civic Center on Tuesday, February 20 when the Falcons take on Worcester State in the last game of the season. Fitchburg State has played Worcester State twice, with the Falcons earning a 4-2 win in December before skating to a 4-4 tie in January. The two teams are entrenched in a battle for second place in the MASCAC ahead of the conference tournament and are poised to meet again in the postseason. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Marquee Matchup

– Grafton/Blackstone Valley Tech vs Littleton/Bromfield Boys Hockey at Buffone Arena

Grafton is on pace for an unbeaten season and will try to close out their schedule against a stingy Littleton team. The two teams met once already this year, with Grafton earning a 3-0 win. Littleton will look to play spoiler before the playoffs begin.

Puck drop is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12 p.m.

New England Future Stars Corner

Tryouts continue NEXT WEEK

It’s an idle week for New England Future Stars tryouts, with no sessions scheduled this week. However, tryouts pick up next week in full force, with eight teams holding tryouts for the upcoming 2018 season. Register for tryouts ONLINE NOW or on-site at the arena.

Mites Cross-Ice

Brand new this season, registration is NOW OPEN for the Mites Cross-Ice program coming summer 2018. The South Shore Sabercats, Boston Brahmas, and brand new Canton Crusaders will all carry Mites Cross-Ice programs this season.

There is a limited amount of only 60 spots per team, so register now while there’s still space. The program is designed to help Mite-level players develop with the help of experienced coaching and top competition. Spots are filling up fast!
