FMC Ice Sports & Community Solar Energy

FMC Ice Sports is excited to be going solar! Ten of our twenty-seven rinks are now subscribed to a share of clean energy from the Blackstone Solar Farm in Blackstone, MA. By subscribing to community solar with Ampion Renewable Energy, we’re proud to be supporting clean energy and helping the environment.

FMC Ice Sports is allocated approximately 2.65 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy every year. That amount of clean energy replacing fossil fuels is equivalent to carbon sequestered by 1,370 acres of forest, or 18,991 trees growing for 10 years!

All of that without having to install panels on the rinks, but instead coming together with our local communities by sharing panels and tackling the clean energy revolution together!
