The Road Back to the Rink is Opening

Featured Rink: Cronin Rink – Revere, MA

The Cronin Memorial Skating Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility. It is overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The rink is located at 870 Revere Beach Parkway in Revere, Massachusetts. FMC Ice Sports has been operating the arena for the DCR since 2007, remodeling it to the more strategic design seen today.

The facility features include a spacious lobby, a snack shop, a skate shop, a conference room, a fully equipped workout room, elevated bleacher seating, and 6 team locker rooms, as well as a spacious parking lot.  Whether you are an experienced skater or just looking to learn, the rink offers an extensive variety of skating programs and classes for all ages and abilities. Cronin is home to our own North Shore Stingrays of the New England Future Stars. Many other teams and groups also utilize the rink, including:

  • Revere High School
  • The Mitchell Johansson Method (MJM)
  • Everett/Revere Youth Hockey
  • The Greater Boston Vipers.

Arena manager, John Carroll, is in his 17th year of working for FMC. In 2009, John began serving as the Metro Boston regional manager. With Revere as his home rink, John also oversees Burlington, Cambridge, Chelmsford, East Boston, and Lynn.

Back in 2014, Cronin Memorial Skating Arena made the local news when a tornado uplifted a part of the roof and forced the facility to close down for a period of time. Thankfully today the arena is back up and running to make the community a better place, one skater at a time!
