The Road Back to the Rink is Opening

Featured Rink: Connery Rink – Lynn, MA

The Connery Skating Rink is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). FMC Ice Sports has been operating the arena for DCR since 2005.

Inside the arena features facilities for birthday parties, five team locker rooms and 3 high school locker rooms, a sizable lobby, and a snack bar.

The rink is home to many local programs and high school teams including St. Mary’s High School, Lynn High School, Lynn Youth Hockey, Salem Swampscott Youth Hockey, and Marblehead Youth Hockey. Just recently in 2017, the St. Mary’s Boys’ team brought home a Division 1 State Championship.

Arena Manager, Dan Gordon, who has been with FMC for a year and a half, previously worked at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena in Beverly. Along with managing the Connery Rink, Gordon also runs his own skills programs and is an assistant coach at Endicott College.

If you’re wondering why Connery looks so familiar, you may have seen the rink in the popular Boston-based movie The Town, starring Ben Affleck!

Connery offers skating programs for all ages and abilities. Everything from youth hockey to High School hockey, public skating to FMC programs, Connery Skating Rink has everything you’re looking for.

With a welcoming staff, lots of classes, and a clean environment, the Connery Skating Rink is a wonderful place to have fun!
