Step 2: Advanced Learn to Skate

Skaters who have passed Step 1: Learn to Skate are ready for the forward and backward skating skills in Step 2: Advanced Learn to Skate.

Tot 2: Ages 3-6

For skaters who have mastered the skills in Tot 1, Tot 2 instructors use games, toys and songs to help these young skaters learn dips, glides and beginning stops.

Tot 3: Ages 3-6

For skaters who have mastered the skills in Tot 2, Tot 3 skaters learn elements like proper pushing and beginning swizzles.

Tot 4: Ages 3-6

For skaters who have mastered the skills in Tot 3, Tot 4 explores beginning turns and one foot glides; games and toys may be used in new ways to keep challenging elements fun.

Tot 5: Ages 3-6

For skaters who have mastered the skills in Tot 4, Tot 5 prepares young skaters for the challenges in Step 3 programs with pushes and glides, advanced swizzles and beginning crossovers

Youth 2: Ages 6-12

For skaters who have mastered the skills in Youth 1, Youth 2 continues with the skating challenge with one foot gliding, advanced swizzles and beginning turns

Teen / Adult 2: Ages 13 and older

For skaters who have mastered the skills in Teen/Adult 1 or the equivalent, Teen/Adult 2 classes allow skaters to advance their skating ability at a comfortable pace

Advanced Tot Semi-Private: Ages 3-6

For skaters who have completed Step 2: Tot 2, this program provides each student with 10 minutes of one-on-one instruction and 30 minutes of practice ice. Unlike a regular class, skaters will work on 1 or 2 elements each week but instruction is tailored specifically to their needs. Skaters will receive a notebook so the instructor can provide notes on what to practice. An ISI (Ice Skating Institute) membership is included.
