Last Hope K9 Rescue

“Where a last hope becomes a new beginning.”-LHK9

FMC is a proud supporter of Last Hope K9 Rescue, a non-profit dog rescue organization, for the past 10 years. LHK9 was established in 2012 with the mission of saving dogs in need. Since their inception, they have successfully rescued and provided care for nearly 12,000 dogs. This spring, they are excitedly approaching the milestone of saving their 12,000th dog. Based in Massachusetts, LHK9 operates as a foster-based rescue and relies solely on the dedication of volunteers.

“We are committed to rescuing abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters in Central Arkansas and beyond. While our primary focus is on Central Arkansas, we also extend our support to local dog surrenders, shelters, and special rescue efforts in other areas. We firmly believe that every dog, regardless of age, pre-existing medical conditions, or breed, deserves to experience love and care.”

Looking ahead, LHK9 has upcoming initiatives in partnership with various shelters in the Greater Little Rock, Arkansas area. This region faces a significant challenge with a high number of stray and owner-surrendered dogs. Each spring, they organize a service trip to Little Rock, Arkansas, where with the help of dedicated volunteers, work tirelessly to improve rural shelters through fundraising, repairs, and special projects. In Spring 2024, a team of 36 LHK9 volunteers will spend six days undertaking various projects at eight of our partner shelters. To learn more about this 2024 service trip and support the cause, please visit the fundraising page at https://support.lasthopek9.org/campaign/lhk9-spring-2024-service-trip/c554508.

Furthermore, they are excited to announce their signature annual fundraiser, Sips to Save Lives, which will take place this fall on Saturday, November 2nd in Boston. This event serves as the primary source of funding and enables us to continue their rescue efforts. “We greatly appreciate the support of our community in making this event a success”.

Congratulations to LHK9 on all you have accomplished saving our furry friends and we look forward to continuing to support you in all your efforts.
