Skaters on the ice during Public Skating

Thank You for Participating in Sun Safety Skate and Donate!

Thank you for skating with us for our donation-based Public Skating Series!

This summer, FMC donated over 150 hours of ice time at 9 of our arenas to raise funds and awareness for The Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the fight against skin cancer. Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in young adults and over 100,000 melanomas are expected to be diagnosed in 2021, according to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org/cancer/melanoma-skin-cancer/about/key-statistics.html). Every donation can make a difference in the care that patients receive and the research our great local hospitals are able to conduct.

Together, we raised over $3,500 for skin cancer research and care in just 5 weeks. The generous donations of our community of skaters will help make a difference in our larger community.

We hope to see you on the ice again this Fall as we resume our regular Public Skating schedule.
