Rosy Cheeks for Rosie’s Place!
On Wednesday February 5th, FMC Ice Sports hosted a charity event for Rosie’s Place, a safe-haven for women with over-night shelter and other services women that are in need.
Hosted by FMC’s Jillian Piccuito, PHR and Courtney Halloran, MS, CPNP from Alice’s Table (Techstars ’17), they had a wonderful turn out of FMC employees, friends and family. A portion of the events proceeds are being donated to Rosie’s Place.
The mission of Rosie’s Place is to help women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Many of the women they assist are working and in housing but simply can’t make ends meet. Some are newly homeless, while others women have been living on the streets for years. Rosie’s serve women as young as 18 and as old as 80.
“We are so happy to donate a portion of the event proceeds to Rosie’s Place for their work with homeless and under-served women in the Boston area. We hope we are able to impact, in some small way, their incredible efforts to provide emergency services, opportunity, advocacy, empowerment, outreach and stability to the the women who are in need of their services and support. Thank you to Rosie‘s Place for working tirelessly to make our communities a better place!”- Jillian Piccuito, PHR
