Whether you’re stepping on the ice for the first time as an adult or teaching your child the basics after years of skating yourself, public skate is the perfect chance to get on the ice and have some fun.

Public skate tips:

  • Rental skates are available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All skaters should wear gloves and warm, comfortable layers that allow for movement
  • Waterproof clothing, gloves and a helmet recommended for skaters ages 3-6
  • Always follow the Skaters Code of Conduct

Our trained, professional staff and our Skater’s Code of Conduct ensure a safe and enjoyable experience each and every time you visit. All FMC Ice Rinks strive to be a place for fun and personal development for skaters of all ages and abilities.

FMC offers adaptive skating equipment allowing everyone the opportunity to join in on the fun. Ice sleds and walkers are available in many of our rinks. Please be sure to contact the rink in advance to find out about the best times to skate. We also recommend following DCR Universal Access Program on Facebook for up to date information on Adaptive Skate Sessions in multiple locations.
