Featured Rink: Asiaf Arena – Brockton, MA
The Asiaf Arena, named after John G. Asiaf, is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The rink was built in the 1968 and FMC took over management in 1992.
Inside the arena includes six team locker rooms, facilities for birthday parties, a spacious lobby, skate rentals, and a snack bar.
The rink is home to many local programs and high school teams including Brockton High School, Stoughton High School, Oliver Ames High School, the South Shore Eagles, the Southeast Cyclones, the New England Senior Hockey League (NESHL), and Stonehill College’s Men and Women’s Club teams.
Arena Manager, Nick Valentino, has been with FMC for 10 years. Nick started in West Roxbury’s Jim Roche Arena as a skate guard before becoming an Assistant Manager and making his way over to Brockton.
Asiaf offers plenty to do for all ages. On Thursday nights, catch a NESHL game and watch New England’s best adult hockey league in action. On Saturdays, sign up for one of our Learn to Skate programs to get introduced to the ice in a fun and comfortable learning environment. During the fall and winter, join us for one of our many public skating sessions.
With a great staff, lots of classes, and a welcoming and clean environment, Asiaf Arena is a wonderful place to have fun!
