Joe DeSantis Memorial Youth Hockey Alumni Games
On January 5th the East Coast Junior Patriots held the Joe DeSantis Memorial Youth Hockey Alumni Games at Cronin Ice Arena in Revere, MA.
The games started with Mites vs Squirts, then was followed up by the over 30 years old game and lastly for the finale the under 30 years old game. All participants on the ice showed a great amount of pride and honor in being able to take part in the Memorial Games. The games were fast paced and very competitive and displayed the years of hard work Joe DeSantis put into building the East Coast Junior Patriots hockey program. The arena was packed with families and friends who had a great time watching the games and enjoyed being able to come together for a great night.
The Mayor of Revere Patrick M. Keefe Jr. was in attendance and said some special words on how important and impactful Joe DeSantis was to the local community. In honor of Joe DeSantis the DCR and the East Coast Junior Patriots had a special memorial plaque made inside Cronin Ice Arena facing the ice surface outside the main lobby. The plaque was unveiled by the sons of Joe DeSantis.
