FOR BEGINNERS AND SKATERS IN STEP 1, 2 or 3 PROGRAMS

Class Practice Ice (seasonal availability and varied locations)
Participants currently enrolled in an FMC Ice Sports Step program are eligible to use Class Practice Ice Sessions. Sessions are scheduled during existing FMC programming slots and skaters practice skills on their own in a designated section of the ice. Skaters can walk on or preregister. Use of stereo equipment is not available and private lessons are limited to staff coaches with permission from the Program Director.
FOR FIGURE SKATERS AND PARTICIPANTS IN STEP 3 PROGRAMS
Freestyle Practice Ice is ice time set aside for figure skaters to pursue and practice advanced skating elements. Other skaters may be admitted with certain conditions. Sessions are sold in the time slots listed and participants can walk on or preregister. Skaters must have or purchase an ISI membership to walk on to Freestyle Practice Ice. Skaters who preregister are provided an ISI membership with their registration. All skaters must sign the Freestyle Rules/Waiver and provide payment in advance. Stereo equipment is generally available although not guaranteed. Private Coaches with active Liability Insurance naming FMC Ice Sports an additional insured are welcome to teach private lessons on Freestyle Practice Ice after signing a Professional Conduct Agreement.
Skaters who need additional help, prefer one on one or have the desire to pursue more committed skating endeavors may hire instructors directly to provide private or semi-private instruction. Lesson rates vary by instructor. Ice time on which private lessons can be taught is limited to Freestyle Practice Ice.
