Program Description:

Figure Skating 101

For skaters who have mastered the elements in the Ice Skating Essentials, Figure Skating 101 classes teach the mechanics of figure skating. Participants learn the jumps, spins, gliding moves and edgework taught in both ISI and USFS Freestyle levels. Skaters enrolled in Figure Skating 101 will receive an ISI Membership with their registration.

To promote a successful learning environment, class sizes are limited and skaters divided by ability where possible. Instruction will include both ISI and USFS Freestyle skill levels to develop skaters towards testing and competitive endeavors available.

An 8-week season starts at $109

Prerequisites:

Participants must have mastered the skills in Ice Skating Essentials

 

 

BE PREPARED FOR CLASS!

  • Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the class start time
  • Wear layers of comfortable clothing that allow for movement, flexibility and warmth
  • Gloves or mittens are recommended
  • It is recommended that skaters at this level consider purchasing their own skates and specific skating attire. For more information and recommendations on skating purchases, please talk to your instructor or program supervisor
  • Make ups are generally not permitted
  • All refunds are subject to approval and a $20 processing fee. Full refunds, less the processing fee, may be given if requested prior to the first day of classes or with a doctor’s medical note. After the first day of classes has passed, only partial refunds will be considered
