Revere to host “Paint the Rink” Public Skate on December 31

Ring in the New Year in Revere! On December 31, 2017, Cronin Rink in Revere will be hosting “Paint the Rink” from 1:30-4:30 p.m. with free admission to the public.

Patrons will be invited to show their creativity during the first hour of the event. The ice painting portion, running until 2:30 p.m., allows you to draw on the ice using special materials. A brief intermission will follow the painting portion of the event so the pictures can be sealed under a fresh layer of ice.

Public skate will proceed until 4:30 p.m. so guests will get a chance to skate on the painted ice. There will be a $5 fee for rental skates. The city of Chelsea will be picking up the rental skate fee for its residents with valid IDs.

Ice skates are only required during the skating portion of the event, not for ice painting.

Other amenities at the event include a winter-themed penguin photo booth and a promotional table. Guests are also invited to post their own photos from the event using the hashtag #PAINTCRONIN.
