Plymouth Arena Part of History of Hockey Stamp Dedication

On Friday December 1st, TJ Swiderski, manager of the Armstrong Arena in Plymouth, was presented with a History of Hockey Stamp plaque at the Plymouth Center Station Post Office. TJ and the Plymouth South hockey team were honored by both the Post Office and the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce.

The History of Hockey stamps, which were jointly issued by the US Postal Service and the Canada Post, depict the evolution of the sport. One stamp features a vintage hockey player while the other features a modern era player. The souvenir sheet illustrates a father teaching his daughter how to play on a pond, showing the sport being passed down from generation to generation.

The stamps were described as a way to have fun and share hockey with local communities, teams, and arenas.
